I've been writing for as long as I can remember.
When I was really little (maybe 7 or so) I read a book I loved so much, but I hated the ending. So I took out a yellow legal pad and hand wrote a new ending for it. It maybe was around 11 pages, and I tried my hardest to follow the flow and style of the story but make the ending more satisfying to myself.
I don't know if that notepad still exists anywhere- I hope it does.
But since then, I loved writing stories.
I started in RP forums when I was of internet browsing age, and got my feet under me writing stories with my friends through AOL instant messenger.
Though the platform and the people have changed, I still write every day. Some of my favorite stories I've ever experienced have been co-written with my friends and family.
Now, I'm trying to nail down a comfortable portfolio for myself and at time of writing I'm 45,000 words deep into writing my first novel. It's been a brainchild of mine for quite a few years at this point, and I'm finding fulfillment in putting it to page.
It's an uphill battle, tackling something this expansive, but it'll be worth it.
